About Tattoo Removal

Both the PicoSure™ and Picoway® have exponential advanced laser technology for tattoo removal. The PressureWave™ and Picoway® technology delivers ultra short light pulses shattering the ink particles into tiny fragments which are then eliminated naturally from the body. With repeated treatments the tattoo can fade immensely and may even disappear completely.

Benefits

  • Safe on all skin types
  • Effective on previously treated tattoos
  • Fast and precise treatments
  • Most colored tattoos can be minimized with repeated treatments

How It Works

Both the PicoWay® and PicoSure™ are attracted to the pigmentation in tattoos. The laser energy causes change of pressure that breaks the ink apart into tiny particles without injuring the surrounding skin. With repeated treatments the pigmented cells are broken apart and absorbed by the lymphatic system and eliminated naturally.

Why do we have two Pico systems for tattoos? Your tattoo, just like you, is unique. The color, size, age and ink type can all dictate the energy, depth and frequency fo treatment and with the two leading Pico technology machines, we have your tattoo covered.

FAQs

Does tattoo removal hurt?

This laser technology is specifically designed to decrease the number of treatments and minimize discomfort while still being efficient. Ice packs and the Zimmer ZWave cooler is used to help alleviate the discomfort from the treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

Anywhere from 4-8 treatments may be required, this will depend on the size of the tattoo, age, quality of the ink used etc.

What is the downtime?

You may experience blistering, tenderness and redness immediately after your treatment and can last for up to 2 weeks.

I have a tan, can I still complete my tattoo removal treatment?

As the laser energy targets pigmentation, your skin must be at its natural colour. We require that you wait a minimum of 4 weeks after active sun exposure before repeating the treatment.
