How It Works

R·MEDYᴹᴰ offers a variety of natural dermal fillers to address all types of volume deficiencies.

With precise placement, we can fill volume deficiencies, contour cheek bones, fill thinning lips and minimize under eye hollows – and so much more. We apply the safest injection techniques, including the use of the cannula. We also have a magic eraser, Hylase, should you change your mind – we can turn the Hyaluronic Acid into sugar water.

What to expect

Your visit to our clinic for this treatment can take up to an hour depending on the complexity of the session.

Comfort measures are available if necessary and due to the nature of the treatment bruising is always possible.

Once you have the volume you are pleased with then we recommend that you have treatment approximately once a year to maintain the results.

When to resume normal activities

You may resume normal activities immediately following the treatment but we recommend avoiding any activities such as a facial massage for 48 hours following a dermal filler treatment.

FAQs

I am getting married next year. When should I have my treatment?: In our experience most patients report that their dermal filler results look the best about 2 – 3 weeks after their initial treatment. This allows for any bruising and/or swelling to be resolved and time for any touch ups if necessary.
I want to look natural, is that possible?: Absolutely! We truly specialize in the natural look. Our goal is for you to receive compliments about how refreshed you look, not questions about how much filler you had.
I am scared of needles. Does it hurt?: Comfort is of the upmost importance at our Burnaby clinic. We pre-numb the area with one of the most powerful, yet safe, numbing creams. If you are anxious we also offer nitrous oxide (the famous laughing gas) to help you giggle through your appointment.
What if I don’t like the results?: The beauty of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers is that we can dissolve it with a solution called Hylase! This mimics the natural enzyme you have in your body, that turns the filler into sugar water and it is naturally expelled out of your body.
