How It Works

Wrinkle injections can temporarily relax specific muscles by blocking the nerve impulses, reduce pore size and fill depressions in the skin. As the treated muscles relax, dynamic wrinkles and lines created by their contraction gradually fade, and sometimes even disappear completely resulting in smoother, less wrinkled skin.

FAQs

I am getting married next year. When should I have my treatment?

In our experience most patients report that their wrinkle relaxing injections results look the most natural 6 to 8 weeks after their treatment. Therefore, if you have a special event coming up we recommend making your appointment 6 – 8 weeks before the event. This also leaves time for a touch up if necessary.

Will I look frozen?

Not unless you want to! We take great care to ensure that each treatment is appropriate for your face shape, age and desired result, and as you know, we specialize in the natural look.

I am scared of needles. Does it hurt?

Comfort is of the upmost importance at our Burnaby clinic. We pre-ice the area and use the smallest needles on the market to ensure you feel as little as possible. If you are anxious we also offer nitrous oxide (the famous laughing gas) to help you giggle through your appointment.

What if I don’t like the results?

The beauty (and the beast) of wrinkle relaxers are that they don’tlast forever. When you love it we repeat it. if you don’t love it we work with you until you do!
