ABOUT BBL™ GLOW

BBL™ Glow is a new setting of the already acclaimed Broad Band Light treatment. Known as the “Gold Standard” treatment for reducing pigmentation and brightening the skin – this 30 minute special promotes health glowing skin with a more even skin tone and texture.

Whats the difference?

BBL™ Full can target concerns such as broken capillaries, pigmented acne scars, sun spots, freckles and rosacea by using specific wavelengths and sufficient energy targeting melanin and hemoglobin (blood). Results permanently blanch the vessel’s with a significant reduction of red tones, dark and light pigment.

BBL™ Glow gently corrects uneven tone and smooths the appearance of pores and dull skin by heating up the tissues to create an abundance of healthy collagen fibers. Glow cannot specifically target sun spots, rosacea, or red blood vessels. Results may fade or blur the appearance of darker pigment, redness is blended and smoothed out to create a more even skin tone.

HOW IT WORKS

BBL™ emits broad-spectrum photo thermal energy (short blasts of high-intensity light), which is absorbed by brown pigment (melanin) in our skin and the blood vessels that cause redness.

A series of 6 sessions spaced 2-4 weeks apart until desired results are achieved with maintenance as required.

After Treatment Care

Wear sunscreen, avoid sun exposure, exercise and makeup for 24-48 hours. Highly recommend no active ingredients for 5-7 days post treatment.

BBL is my go to laser to help improve my skin complexion because 1) it doesn’t hurt and 2) it’s objective. I love that you’re able to see brown pigment come up to the surface, which took about a week to slough off. It’s science! I’m looking forward to treating my neck and chest.

What does BBL feel like?

The BBL can be described as a warm snapping sensation. No topical numbing cream is required but is available for sensitive individuals. The BBL technology has advanced cooling features, and it shows!

What can I expect after the treatment?

Immediately after the treatment, you can expect to feel some heat, mild redness, and darkening of brown pigment (like small coffee grounds) which will slough off on its own.

How do I know how many treatments I'll need?

The number required is different for each individual and is dependent on how much pigment you are looking to improve. During the consultation, you will be provided a treatment plan tailored to your specific skin goals.

How long does it take to see results from BBL?

You will notice brighter looking skin 1-2 weeks after treatment. Any brown pigment that arises will slough off during this time.

Any contraindications to this treatment?

If you are someone with tattooed lips, brows, melasma, or an active tan (last 4 weeks) you are unfortunately not eligible. We highly recommend pregnant or breastfeeding clients to avoid this treatment, or anyone with an auto immune disease like psoriasis. It’s always best to discuss with your family physician in regards to what procedures are right for you.
