About Migraine Treatments at R·MEDYᴹᴰ Aesthetics

Our doctors have treated chronic migraines for many years with great success.

About half of all women will suffer from a migraine at some point in their life. The evidence suggests that fluctuations in estrogen levels can contribute to this immensely. Chronic migraines can affect all aspects of a persons life, including their relationships both personal and work related. Mood and sleep disturbances are common for those with chronic migraines.

As an alternative to oral medications that generally treat rather than prevent, injections are safe and highly effective tools to reduce the intensity and frequency of chronic migraines and prevent many before they even start.

Benefits

  • Safe with no downtime
  • Migraine relief/reduction for up to 12 weeks
  • Results evident within 2 weeks

How It Works

It is believed that when used for chronic migraines our injections block chemicals called neurotransmitters that carry the pain signals to your brain, reducing, and in many cases, preventing the pain. This includes the relaxation of painful muscular trigger points in the scalp, neck and shoulders that may be contributing to the headache.

It is important that you keep a “headache diary” to track where and when your chronic migraine begins and ends. This will help our Physicians determine your treatment pattern and dosage.
