How It Works

Lipodissolve, also known as injection lipolysis or mesotherapy, has been safely used throughout the world for over 25 years. Our proprietary cocktail is injected directly into the unwanted fat pockets resulting in fat cell destruction. As the cell membrane dissolves the fat is expelled naturally out of the body over the next 8 – 12 weeks. Lipodissolve can also be used to shrink lipomas, which are benign fatty tumours under the skin.

How many treatments do I need to get rid of my love handles?: Results vary from person to person and multiple sessions are usually recommended to gradually reduce the unwanted fat. As the body expels the fat, slimming of the area occurs over the next 8 weeks. The amount of treatments necessary is dependent on the amount of volume to be treated and your body’s response to Lipodissolve.
How long have you been dissolving fat this way?: We have been successfully dissolving fat at Vancouver Laser & Skin Care Centre since 2004.
Once the fat is gone will my skin be tight?: Some patients have experienced “bounce back”. This is the result of elastin levels being high enough to re-drape after the excess fat is dissolved. Most patients decide to seek alternate tightening methods to stimulate collagen production and increase elastin levels for an even better result.
